Anna Porter

Property Advisor, Valuer & CEO

Anna Porter (Grad Dip UEM, CPV AAPI) is the principal of Suburbanite and a qualified property valuer and leads a team of highly skilled property investment advisors.

Anna is often sought after by media for her expert commentary and has featured in Australian Property Investor Magazine, ABC National Radio, 2UE Radio, Sunrise, Channel Nine’s The Mornings Show, Studio 10, Sky News Real Estate, Fairfax Newspapers and many more media platforms.

She has shared the stage with Mark Bouris and Andrew Morello as the property expert on the 2016 and 2017 Prosperity Through Property Australian Tour. She also runs education programs for companies like Caltex, Optus, Flight Centre and Cricket NSW to name a few.

As an accomplished valuer for 15+years, Anna worked on many institutional portfolios with thousands of assets across various property sectors. She also taught Property at Sydney Institute and was involved in helping them develop their new Degree Course in Property Valuation.

She still works with individuals on their personal portfolios, through to organisational investors to develop their property strategies and ensure that their current assets are aligned with the outcomes of the business. But also enjoys working one on one with ‘Mum and Dad’ investors and first time investors to help them start their investment journey the right way.

Nick Barlow

Property Advisor & Valuer

Nick Barlow (B. Property Economics, CPV AAPI)) has been a property valuer for over 13 years and has held highly regarded positions like Associate Director of Commercial and Residential valuation divisions within Herron Todd White, the largest valuation and advisory firm in the country. Nick has valued commercial and residential assets up to $20Mil and managed relationships with large stakeholder from major lenders.

Due diligence, analysis and identifying and mitigating risk is one of Nick’s strongest skills, and he is highly regarded in the property profession for taking a low risk approach to all advice.

Nick is now a senior advisor with Suburbanite and works with some of our largest clients such as national fast-food franchises, as well as involvement on commercial negotiations of major projects valued at $350Mil to get our client’s the best financial outcome from the commercial terms and ensure they understood and mitigated risk at each stage.

Jeff Natoli

Property Advisor & Valuer

Jeff Natoli is our Acquisitions Manager and has been with Suburbanite since the early days and has a passion for property.

He is a qualified property valuer and has his masters degree in property development. Jeff heads up our property investment team and works closely with all of our clients to help them on to the property ladder, or build a robust portfolio for the more experienced investor. Jeff has a passion for buying properties where you can add value through renovations or small developments.

Jeff has worked across a range of property advisory divisions, from heading up the residential investment team, to working on major project advisory of mixed use sites where Jeff advised on the economics of the project, feasibility studies, 10 year strategies and risk mitigation measures. He has a strong skillset in financial analysis and he leads the way with our research team.

Jeff has acquired assets and analysed projects throughout the country including Sydney, Broader NSW, ACT, Adelaide, Victoria and Brisbane. He has a diverse skill set in understanding key market drivers such as infrastructure, demographics and affordability and how this interacts with projects and communities.

Andrew Winter

Property Advisor & Acquisitions QLD

Andrew Winter is a highly regarded residential property expert, known for his award-winning real estate TV shows and media career that extends across two decades.

His passion for property started young entering the real estate industry at 17 and buying his first home at 18. That UK real estate career, including nearly a decade in the central London market, led to the family move to Australia in 2005, where his career in real estate and related media flourished.

Andrew understands what makes the market tick, will seek opportunity and inherently knows when risk could be too high. 24 years as a selling agent gives Andrew a wealth of knowledge and understanding, especially when it comes to helping people source their new family home, investment property, or holiday get away.

Whilst Andrew’s media career continues, in 2023 he decided it was time to re join the industry he loves. Suburbanite came with a professional reputation, industry expertise, a great team and the right technical support to allow Andrew’s valuable time to be maximised for clients in his home region of the Gold Coast in QLD.

Nerrida Payne

Property Advisor

Nerrida Payne began her career in real estate in a family business working accross residential, commercial and retail assets. She completed her qualifications as a property valuer in 1999 by completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Land Economics and went on to managed a valuation team and became the financial controller of the group.

She then went on to develop her career in the development consulting sector and has experience in the Land and Environment Court as an expert, building contract negotiations, feasibility analysis of projects large and small.

Nerrida brings a wealth of experience across a range of property disciplines to the Suburbanite team, working closely with our corporate clients in the registered club space, as well as private land owners, NFP’s and Government.

Glenn Newbery

Property Investment Advisor

Glenn Newbery is an accomplished property investment strategist with a robust property portfolio. He has built a career preparing new buyers for wealth through investment while also coaching experienced investors with his tried and true investment strategies.

Glenn’s climb to the top of the property investing ladder was a baptism of fire more than 20 years ago. In a bid to become a savvy investor, Glenn set himself an end goal and learned how to make better informed investment decisions to successfully make those goals happen. That’s when his investment portfolio really skyrocketed – to 14 properties in three years.

Glenn’s role as an Affiliate Director and Property Investment Advisor at Suburbanite sees him share his extensive knowledge, compelling insights, and solid investment strategies with others. He has propelled countless people on a successful property investment journey and empowered many more to expand their own portfolios.

Glenn has established a reputation as a well-respected property strategist. He has been a guest speaker on several property podcasts and the focus of media articles and TV appearances. He also hosts regular property investment seminars in Sydney where he relishes educating people on investment strategies that change lives.

Gemma Wright

Property Investment Advisor

Gemma Wright is a Property Investment Advisor at Suburbanite, with a strong passion for property.

After a successful career in banking, Gemma endeavoured on a management journey which saw her work for Ferrari Australia before establishing her own business. Through her business endeavours, Gemma had the opportunity to work with a number of high profile companies and establish herself as a sought after professional in management.

Gemma’s passion for property began in the early days but in 2021 she began acquiring the skills and qualifications to be able to make property a career. Her commitment, determination and proactive approach is respected by her clients who entrust Gemma to take them on their property journey from start to finish.

With a unique understanding of the whole process, Gemma is able to nurture her clients through the property journey without losing sight of the end goal which she seeks to achieve.

kinda McKean

Property Investment Advisor

Kinda McKean has a strong background in investments and has always wanted to pursue a career in property investing.

Having spent 15 years working within the banking and finance sector, Kinda held senior roles which focused on the analysis and reporting of managed funds.

Kinda then moved into a Financial Planning role where she was able to guide her clients on the different stages of their financial journey. She has spent the past 8 years working closely with clients and assisting them in constructing investment portfolios that suit their needs.

Kinda is passionate about investing in property and enjoys researching investment opportunities. She understands the risks and rewards that come with the process and wants to use her skills and experience to ensure her clients have the right investment strategy.

Sam Butler

Senior Property Investment Advisor

Sam Butler is one of our most senior advisors and is also a qualified valuer. He leads the property team and is always on the search for great investments for our clients.

Sam has personally identified, inspected, and negotiated the purchase of countless properties up and down the country. He enjoys matching clients with the right property for their particular investment strategy.

He is also passionate about research and has a unique understanding of the micro and macroeconomic factors driving the property market. Sam’s finger is always on the pulse of the market and the wider economy.

Originally from Canberra and then Wollongong, he completed his graduate diploma of property at Deakin University in Geelong but has since moved to Queensland for the warmer weather!

Adam McDiarmid

Property Advisor & Valuer

Adam McDiarmid is a Certified Property Valuer actively engaged in property research, analysis and consultancy.

He has experience in portfolio, childcare centres, easements and car yard valuations, rent reviews and valuations for acquisition as well as presenting and report writing.

His strengths are his diligence, efficiency, attention to detail and client focus.

Adam manages some our the companies largest contracts with portfolio valuations for global fuel companies, Department of Defence, Department of planning and many more national clients.
